i actually wanted to know exzactly what frequency RAM chips were used to make my card... its an FX 5200, 128 MB with HYNIX chips...... ![]() that was to know the safe limit upto which i can OC the.ram in the gfx can anyone tell me how to decifer the wierd numbers written on the chips used to make my Graphics card's RAM? bump!.. comon no-one knows how to determine it?? wierd

^^^ thats for nvidia GPUs in general...
whereas the type of ram used is decided by manufacturer......viz XFX, Evga, Eagle(my brand WAs eXpecTing some ANSWERS GUYS...... common no-one has verified the speed of his ram chips before OCing it?.. lol

^^^ dude, i dont wanna know HOW to OVERCLOCK...
i very well know how to overclock... i just wanted to know how to determine the access time and Memory speed of my card... Anyways My card has HY5DY281622AT-5 memory... AFAIK the 5 in the end corresponds to 5 ns access time but i dont know the mem speed for which the chip is designed... anyways i guess it is out of scope of discussion here....... not meaning bad to anyone.... will try out @guru3d.. or somewhere... regards bikalp

Use Powerstrip for determining the clock speeds.
