i am planning to buy a graphic card within 5k,should i wait for DX10 cards.i am confused as i have read somewhere that mid range DX10 cards will come in the begining of '08 is it true.

DX10 cards in the range of 12-14k will be available by Q2-Q3.It'll take sometime 4the prices 2 come down.So get urself a cheap DX9 card now upgrade to DX10 card later.

i suggest u to wait for DX10 cards as prices will fall as soon
as they start coming in the market.
so u dont ve to regret yr decision..

Accoring to the sales guys in Rashi Periphirals (offical sales partner of Nvidia XFX gfx cards in Mumbai) the budget DX10 cards will be out sometime in April 2007...and as soon as the budget Dx10 cards are out all the prices for 7xxx series card wil fall drastically. But you will not get them within Rs.5000/-...the budget DX10 cars will hover around Rs.10000/-

If you cannot wait till that long here are some prices which are around your budget:
XFX 7300 LE 256MB (supporting upto 512MB) = Rs.3300/-
XFX 7300 GS 256MB (supporting upto 512MB) = Rs.3900/-
XFX 7300 GT 256MB = Rs.5800/-
Zebronics 7300 GT 256MB = Rs.5100/-
