I disagree. 6200 is a great chip and is generations ahead of 5200FX.

No comments as of now but keenly interested in the performance of the Geforce 6200TC the one that address system memory instead of onboard video ram. ATI has a similar technology in the pipeline hyper memory which shud b interesting as well.

Just wanted to ask...is there much difference in 5600, 5700 6200 etc..

Like they have 256 mb of memory each, so only the bandwidth might be differing...

But the cost differences among these are huge!

it does make a lot of difference....
the chipsets are all different in these cards....higher end chipsets allow higher core and memory clock speeds (as in frequencies) which is wat matters...higher freqs give u better performance....
infact u might sumtimes find tht cards with lesser RAM( say 64 MB to 128 MB) perform better than those with higher amounts(say 128 MB or 256 MB) even though they miht belong to the same chipset.....

Dude , 5700 makes a lot of diff , you cant compare 5700 ulta with 5600 or 6200 , its supposed to be faster than radeon 9800 with 256mb GDDR3 memory and 256 bit wide bus , please do not include 5700 LE , its not even official by NVIDIA .

lol....ur kidding right....the 9800 beats the 5700 series in all benchies. And esp the 9800 Pro. Its been universally acknowledged that the 5series from Nvidia was a dismal failure. The 9800 will cream the 5700 simply because it has twice the rendering pipelines (8 up from 4) and double the memory bus width (256bit up from 128bit).If ur still not sure here are some links :

Indro dude thats a irresponsible statement without any proof to back it up whatever (its worth a laugh, but thats a different thing altogether). Also 9800 was never equipped with GDDR3 mem, GDDR3 memory is being on newre cards like x800 and 6800 series.

Still i would beg to differ. The results are not due Ati Radeon 9800 non pro being Inferior to 5700 nvidia. But rather Nvidia linux drivers are lot better than ATI ones. Still Talking about gamer, 99.9 are windows users.
And who to talk about but stupid me who is still Stuck with this Gigabyte Nvidia 5700 Ultra. Anyway if you can arrange me 9800 whatever i had readily exchange it.

checkout the 6200 review at www.guru3d.com
Its a good card for the price.
Performs similar to 9600XT. Its a very good deal for guys looking for cheap but still deascent card.
But dont expect to game with all details turned up and AA and AF turned on.
