GPU for amd athlon 64 x2 4000

Hey i am getting a second hand pc with amd Athlon 64 x2 4000
so can any1 suggest a good gpu, so i can avoid bottle-necking
dont ask about mobo bcuz i dont have that pc on my table yet bt
1 thing i knw my brother told me he'll give me upgradeable mobo, so i think it will have ddr3 slots for ram
and pci-e 2.1 i guess i am not sure, can any 1 tell me a good gpu

athlon 64 x2 4000 can nt be used with a motherboard which has DDR3 memory slot as this cpu don't support DDR3 ram modules.

sorry for limited info i called my brother 2 days ago he said there are mobo with am2+ sockets which will support am2 processor and give me option to install a am3 processor with bios update but he said i have to use only ddr2 ram bcuz this am2 processor does not fully support ddr3 ram , so my quick config will be
processor : AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+
RAM : 4 GB DDR2 (i am planning to make it 8 GB (2X4 GB))
mobo i dont know exactly bcuz my brother is having little trouble finding am2+ mobo, but he said it will have pcie 2.0 x16 slot(atleast 1)
and dont worry about psu i have one form my previous desktop it 450 W (i cant read the manufacturer though)
or i can take a new according GPU i am purchasing

finding an AM2+ mobo is really tough these days and your brother is right about everything but I can't see any point in going for 8GB DDR2 ram -4GB should be enough for that cpu.

Anyway, the generic 450W PSU may work of you use gfx cards without external pci-e connector like HD7750/HD6670/HD6570 or some lesser model - do mention your budget of the gpu and we generally don't recommend using a generic psu - so get a corsair VS450 @ 2.1k - you can get it by the saved money on the 4GB DDR2 ram module
