Default a game for benchmarking under 500MB


guys, i need a game mainly for testing purpose only, should be under or around 500 to 600MB .. and should be able to stress my 9600M gt to its fullest, when played, i dont play games usually but i think im gettin artifacts so just to conform/? also wud it be better to download 3d mark 06 instead?

Quake 3 Arena still rulez! It wont stress the graphics card to its fullest at all. Its just nice to see your card churn out 1000+ fps and reflect back to your older machine which used to struggle to even play it.
Try Quake 3 Arena for OpenGL and Unreal Tournament for DirectX.They're the kings of benchmarks.

If you really want to "stress" your card, try 3DMark Vantage.But I think its Vista exlusive.

YOu don't need a game to benchmark. Best benchmarking utility is 3DMark and PCMark. Run them and your rig will be benchmarked and given a score. Compare it online and you get an idea how good it is.

Just run 3D mark 06 in continous loop for the entire night and u'll know how stable is ur card?
