Corrupt cab file in Fear

I bought FEAR. But when it is about to reach the end of installation the installer crashes. There's a file in the folder named data2.cab. Its damaged. Is there any way that i can repair that cab file? I tried searching for softwares that can repair a cab file but i could only find one i.e Advanced Cab Repair but its not free. I tried asking for replacement but they refuse. Can u ppl tell me about any other cab repair software?

check in other's PC.

it cud be your cd/dvd drive thats not reading well.

happened to me with my GTA SA game disk. same problem, some data.cab file damaged error.
the culprit was my dvd drive.

what i did was, cleaned (washed)

the disk, cleaned the lens of drive. & it worked.

Washed it with what............!!!!!!!!!!!
