Warcraft not running

Guys i have downloaded warcraft but bro after installation the games is not working .Whenever i try to play the game this error come on the screen. FATAL ERROR!
Program: c:\documents and settings\administrator\desktop\new folder (2)\war3.exe
Exception: 0x80000002 (DATATYPE_MISALIGNMENT) at 001B:7C901016

Guys i will be very thankful, if anyone could help me in this matter.

maybe the Installation was corrupt
Test Direct 3D
or
Reinstall the game in new user or any other PC

how to test Direct 3D???

my specs

p4 2.8ghz HT
512mb ram
865 motherboard

goto run and type dxdiag
i the directX diagnostic tool click on display and select test directdraw and test direct3d.

BY the way your configuration seems enough to play the game. you can try running on any other PC

Use the latest patch... that should solve quite some problems...

Try installing it in another directory other than system directory
