Default F1 2001

I have a P3 800 Mhz machine with 320MB SD RAM (64+256 with 16MB dedicated for graphics) and Windows 98SE and Windows XP SP2 as the OSes. the problem is that whnever i try to run F 1 2001 game the colours appear fine but after sometime the contrast increases and the screen appears nearly black and you can only see some cars in the background (visible but faint). Checked the video options and found the resolution to be 640*480 with colour depth 32bit. I have Direct X 9.0c.

What can be done to check this problem??

I checked and your system meets the requirements comfortably
Try reducing the colour depth to 16 bit
If it dosen't help, try running the game in compatibility mode for Win98/ME because the game was initially made for Win98
