Gta Vicecity

I hav just installed GTA Vicecity on my system , but there is one problem the game is running smoothly but there is no audio , wen i try to c the audio options frm the game it says "no audio hardware". Wat could b the problem.
My system config:
P IV 1.6 , 256+128 MB SDRAM , 128 MB GPU , 40 GB HDD , Sound on board , DVD Writer....

delete ".set" file in "GTA VC User File" in "My Documents", update gta vc to v1.1 (if not done). if your OS = Windiws XP , then try to run the game in compatibility mode.

Tried all the three methods but still no audio , in updating gta vice city there was an error , it says "Program cannot update the installed version because gta-vc.exe: unknown version."

You probably have a rip version, with audio removed, and with a no cd crack. Get original game for everything.

Atleast a proper installer one might get the job done. Most of the older heavily compressed rip versions has such problems.
get the two cd installation version.
