can't play games

need help!!
i'm not able to play the following games:
call of duty 4
nfs pro street demo
crysis demo
stranghold
the witcher demo
or any big games i got on digit dvd.

the installation succeeds without any problem but the games are not running

Hardware:
my PC configuration is
P4 3.06 processor
D865GSA intel Motherboard
512MB RAM Hynix
80GB SATA Seagate HDD ST380211AS
SONY DVD-RW DW-Q120A

Software:
DirectX 9.0c
OS: XP sp2
.NET framework 3

If there is problem with hardware and a hardware upgrade will fix this, what is the minimum upgarde i should do, just to get satisfactory performance (without spending heavy bucks!! )

hey... ur system is not just powerful enough to run those games .... dont u ever read the readme files provided with the games to chech minimum system requirements..... to play the above stated games u at least need to add the following components :

1. Around 1 extra GB or RAM
2. A decent graphics card like the ATI HD3850 AGP version as ur mobo doesnot
support PCI-E

well, go to systemrequirementslabs.com and test out each game. It would specify what you lack to play the game. I think that you dont even pass the minimum requirements for crysis.

Games like these need Hi performance Graphics card apart from Hi-End proccy and mobo+RAM.
