Help me buy the PS2

I have finally decided to buy the Playstation 2. I know it outdated now but the reason i'm buying this is because of the huge Liblary of games available out there. AFAIK the ps2 cost abt 7k.

I live in delhi and want to know the following details:

1.) Is it ok to buy the pre modded PS2 from palika bazar?
2.) I've heard something about the PS2 platinum edition....what's its price? and the difference b/w the two?

3.) Has anyone bought a modded on from palika(or any other palace) before and have you faced any problems??

and i have pre modded ps2 which i bought from palika. yes u can buy.

i dont know now but before 2-3 years its price was more the the slimline ps2

And do buy God Of War II best game on ps2
and PES 2008 if ur a football fan

But IMO if u dont know any person in palika or gaffar u should not go out buying

i just enquired about the PS2's in palika.....they are selling it for 5.5k (modded). Its a steal of a deal. What do you guys think? should i go for it or do u think it's a hoax?
