COD 4 - PC Restarted............all saved games lost

Hi,

I was playing COD 4.........I had almost completed ACT 2....and sudenly lights went off.......when later i started the PC.........I was shocked to notice that My profile was there in game......but no saved games.......which mean i will have to start it again ??

when i searched installed folders.......saved games are there on PC.......but why i can not see when i start my game. ??

Plzzz help..............
I love COD4.......but now i do not have time to play it again.

I think the saved games got corrupted. Run a disk check of that drive.

The saves are located in your profiles directory.I have backed up all my saves for this game.But unfortunately the autosaves are way to big.Around 66.3MB.I tried zipping it but still it turns out to be around 57MB in size.Anyway,I have just zipped the .svg files of the full levels minus the autosaves.So perhaps you could try with these saves & see if they work.

Just start a new game.Once your new profile is created copy paste these saves in your C:\Program Files\Activision\Call Of Duty 4\Players\Profiles\*your save name directory*\saves directory.Check if they work.Good luck.
