C&C GENERALS (How to acquire oil fields)

Hey guys,

1.) I am playing C&C GENERALS for the first time and in training mode I cannot acquire the 2 Oil Fields and the stack of SUpply goods (just b4 the entry to the GLA),

I tried making a Ranger go near the oil field but then nothing happened He just stays there

2.) aLSO, how CAN i INCREASE MY sTAR LEVEL to a 3 or a 5 star General ?? I am always stuck at the 1 star level...

Please help me guys...

to acquire the oil fields .. get a ranger .. on the barracks click on the yellow flag and let it load. the click on the ranger and right click on field it will show a flag icon .. dats it..
to increase star level u gotta kill ppl or tanks.....and oda stufff . i havent played SP so dnt really know.. C & C MP Rocks!!!!!!!!!!
