Strange FIFA 07 Problem

I am facing a strange problem in FIFA 07. The game starts fine, but it runs in fast forward. you cant control the players. It's like watching a Football game in fast forward. I tried reducing the speed of the game but it didnt help. The specs of the system are:

Intel Pentium M 1.73 GHz
512 MB DDR 2 RAM
Intel 915 Board with 128 MB Graphics Memory
Windows XP SP2

Also, I am playing with a limited user. Does that affect gameplay?

Hi to reduce the speed in the game, try increase the graphics settings of the game to the maximum one. If you have the game dvd or cd with you, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

Using limited user acc will not affect gameplay. However, you need to logged in as adminstrator in your computer, while reinstalling the game (If the other tricks doesnt resolve the issue).

I had tried that...that didnt work. but strangely, i tried it again yesterday, the game was running fine at lower settings...strange are the workings of computers and lappies these days. a few days back, topdesk was working on my system, but now that has stopped working too. it didnt even work after a reinstall...
