Help with installing Lost Planet

Hi..

I bought the XFX 8600GT day before yesterday. I got the Lost Planet DVD with that. When I try to install it in Vista, the installer is installing an application called 'Steam'. I dont have an internet connection at home. It asked me to select a type of connection. I chose randomly and it installed the app. After the installation of Steam, it is giving this error.

Steam.exe(main exception): Unable to load library Steam.dll

and then, the installation is not going forward. I looked for Steam.dll but I couldnt find it in the cd. I extracted the .msi file and even there, I didnt find it. The same happened when I installed in XP.(I tried this because, I saw two files, named dx9 and dx10 in the extracted .msi.)

Is there a way to install the game? Could someone tell what happened?

i think u need net 4 auto updates of the game.
RSvegas also has the same prob.
it updates evertime we start it.
WTF
