Error in a game.please help me.

Guys,My friend gave me an old game "Codename Eagle" on a CD(it was copied).Installatin went fine but when I loaded the mission,Screen vanished and the message appeared :

"*************************

An exception occured in the "main thread" ,at adress 45c14f"

and then another message came

"release() error."

I couldn't make what was the problem???

Problem can be:
1) corrupted installation
2) System hardware not supporting
