HELP: age of empire 2 is not running on latest laptop..

Hi,
I have compaq presario v3335 laptop with 845gm display card (if i remember correctly).
i recently tried to run age of empire 2 on that but it is giving me error like display card or driver is not supporting direct draw..
I installed directx from internet but then also same error is coming ..
can any one throw some light on it..
