GTA IV release delayed until the second quarter of 2008.

these game companies announce their titles years before and make fans howl with rage until the game gets released (which is half a decade later).

Hell! There is already 1 HUGE year remaining and they delayed it. Might be possible that they want to increase the income of Q2 2008.
I can wait, GTAIV for PC is coming in 2009 there will be many more good games till then.

I read the page after writing what I wrote above.
After all they will launch Manhunt 2. Are they going to make it a bit more decent after US/UK cried fowl and drove them crazy?

No I read somewhere (Dont ask the source) that in 2008 it was being released for consoles and in 2009 it was coming for PC.
And whatever happens, R* always release their GTA for PCs. Same happened with SA.
