Default Unable to play Quake III

Hi guys

I have a peculiar problem

Whenever I start Quake III Arena and start a single player game, I get back to the console and I get an error saying "Not a JPEG File : starts with 0x2e 0x26". What does this mean and how do I start playing the single player mode?

if not , try to uninstall & re-install the game.....
