i checked out the official website of the wcg 2007 today http://in.worldcybergames.com . under the schedul, it says delhi prelims r on 2 n 3rd june but there's no info about venue. any idea? also, the link to register online isn't a link at all. am i supposed to register at the venue like always?

Yeah all these gaming tournaments. One needs to register at their venue. I guess it willl b in Pragati maidaan.

The website is still under development. Just wait for them to update - Keep an eye or/and submit your info and join their mailing list for upto-date info.

And NO - Players don't need to take their PC's with them LOL

yup, me from hyd. Once the animax has arranged some gaming tournaments in the prasadz IMAX, but i missed it as my final exams were on that same date.

i've given up. either the dates r wrong or the've really cracked. most probably, the dates r wrong. but in case they r holding it on 3rd and 4th june in delhi, then most probably the venue will be Sri Sathya Sai Auditorium, Lodhi Road. thats been the venue for the past two years that i've participated.

well i went there but found nothing..it seems that they have postponed the dates..lets hope for the best

What cyber game without UT

wcg never features unreal tournament. the pc games generally featured in the tournament are fifa (the latest), need for speed (the latest), counter strike and world of warcraft. apart from that ion 2005, the had some game called warhammer 40,000 in which only about 6 people had participated from delhi. cool na?, hardly any competition. max. competition in nfs. last year more than 100 people had participated in nfs most wanted

OMG seems like WCG is big on strategy this year.

venue not yet given on website, earlier venues for delhi

2006 : sri sathya sai auditorium, lodhi road
2005 : sri sathya sai auditorium, lodhi road (however changed to Mandi House one day before tournament due to some prob)

so most probably, it'll be at sri sathya sai auditorium, lodhi road only

ok something is defenitely wrong in their website. under games for PCs, there's no mention of Counter Strike and NFS Carbon. it has to be an error or its just a horrible joke on their part

counter strike is the soul of the tournament and NFS carbon gets the max no. of participants. it just can't be true

ok, there seems to be a prob with the indian WCG site

1. the PC games section doesn't list NFS carbon or CS
2. if u switch off images, all the images have alternate text Carbon
3. the international page of WCG lists Carbon and CS under PC games

hey dude wats the venue ?? if its the same as u said than plz give me the full address ...cuz im new to delhi.. and also bout the registration thing.... i have signed in the website but havent seen any venue or timing thing....... and also wats the registration cost .... i heard somewhere thats its Rs. 100 per member...is it true?

not sure about venue, but if it's as always, then the venue will be Sri Sathya Sai Auditorium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi (thats near Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium). registration cost in 2005 was rs.50 and in 2006 was rs.100. generally registration done over the net isn't valid. you have to register at the venue again. you should reach the venue latest by 12pm (registrations close after that) on the first day. the second day is only for those who qualify thru the first day
