Halo 2 for VISTA is playable on Intel GMA X3000

Guys just yesterday i got my HALO 2 game for Vista as present frm my uncle

I dont have graphics card as i was still waiting for DX10 card

I just installed halo2 in Vista just to check whether the game runs or not on my integrated intel graphics,, surpriceingly the game runs pity fine on low settings at 800*600 at around 30 FPS

My system specs are lested below

INTEL DG965RY
INTEL core 2 duo E6300
1 GB DDR2 533 Mhz RAM
Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit

My windows and chipset drivers are upto date as i daily check and install updates

Game settings
800*600
Low
AA=off

The game cant be played on medium settings FPS dropps dramatically

Mujhe pata hai ki tumne first level ka screenshots kuin post kiya.Sach bata duin kya.Kya kisisko sach janna hai.Pirated hai or download kiya hua hai.Sirf pehla level pirated main khel sakte hain.

Wat???? i have genuine copy of halo2 which my uncle brought from US

and i have activated the product

I have completed first level not yet started 2nd level

I will play 2morrow and post the screenshots from 2nd level

I think u dont believe until i post the screenshots

wait till tomorrow then say??

Just u used the pirated copy doesnt mean everyone will be using it

Sure other games have great graphics and also requires powerful system to play,
But the gameplay of halo 2 is excellent, it has unique weapons and i love the plasma granade and sword type weapon
remember halo 2 was released 3 yrs back for xbox and its the same game with just slight improvement in graphics

just increased resolution support dont feel like heaven.
Bungie didnt even think abt replacing crap textures with some nice, game looks bland. Though gameplay is good but now is the time for next gen content, they should hav realized this.

Halo 1 was a nice concept but halo 2 is just hack and slash with same repetitive corridors.

Well surprise that it's running on this POS chipset.From day one that I had my new rig thinking that this onboard would somewhat be in comparison to Nvidia's 6100 GPU I was wrong,DEAD wrong.This chipset is as pathetic as pathetic can be.If you try to play any Hardware T&L based game on it & it will either crash or just burp up with the error "Your hardware is not compatible with Hardware T&L" WTF!!!

I tried a game like NOLF2,heck NOLF 2 which is even older than I remember & it didn't run.Far cry which came up with graphical glitches.Heck even RE4 crashed. I am now lost as to where the problem is,is it with the drivers(also had tried installing the lastest ones but no effect ) or am I not enabling something which would get these games kick started.Thos of you who have this chipset please if you can for the love of god just try out these game I mentioned & inform me if it runs on the Intel GMA X3000.

X3000 supports harware T&L but unfortunately they have not yet released the drivers to enable it

the intel website in Feb2007 stated that in within three months they will release the beta drivers which enables hardware T&L but itz 4 months now and no news abt beta drivers

At GDC 2007 they demonstarted the beta drivers and palyed call of duty 2 and half life episode one on x3000

They are having beta drivers but they are not releasing it

I think they are sleeping and are more busy with development of new proceesors
