Unhappy Whether "unreal Tournament" Caused The Problem

This problem occured while i was changing display settings in "UNREAL TOURNAMENT" .
My system was not starting .Every time i tried to start my pc my moniter goes in a stand by mode there was no bios display also my restart button does not work either nor my cd-rw light was blinking .I WAS ASKED TO REPAIR MY MOTHERBOARD BY MY VENDOR IT COST ME RS 350/- . Now my pc is fine.

I WANT TO KNOW WHETHER "UNREAL TOURNAMENT" CAUSED THE PROB. ?AND HOW IT CAN BE AVOIDED .

i am having :
2.40 ghz p4 intel processor
256 mb of RAM
D-LINK 845 MOTHERBOARD
Intel onboard graphic
NO GRAPHIC CARD

Default Re: Whether "unreal Tournament" Caused The Problem

No it wasn't unreal tournament but overheating due to immediate stress put on the hardware during change of resolution..
