Can't play games!!

No games are running on my computer.
the specs are as follows
Intel Pentium 4 2.4Ghz processor
512 mB of shared RAM of which 64 MB is shared with the Integrated Graphics card.

The error message shown when i start a game as low on the specs required as Unreal tournament is -

UnrealTournament.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

More Info about the error says -
Error Signature

You didn't mentioned your operating system. By reading the error massage I asume it is Windows 98 or 2000.

For unreal tournament to work, first uninstall it - restart the pc - reinstall it - install the Unreal Tournament Version 436 Patch. Search google to download the patch.

I think this should fix the problem. Also do check for Viruses.
If you are really using windows 98 then I recommend using XP.
And one more thing, there might be something wrong with your RAM.

He's using XP I guess, and if its the original UT (I mean, not 2004 UT), you need to run it in compatibility mode.

Well i am running XP Service Pack 2
but its not original ..
will try your suggestions .. but i tried to play GTA - San Andreas .. it gave the same kind of error . i thought the game wudnt run so i dint think much of it ..
but now that UT isnt working i am quite worried !!
