you lost on one really good site which i personally recommend:

www.gamefaqs.com

it contains a lot more things than sole reviews.

That is gamespot sister site. It can be easily found in faqs and download section.

Anyway Metacritic and Gamerankings are not really game resource sites. They are more of a compilation of other reviews on net
