Ghost recon+Far Cry

HI,
I'm a big fan of ghost recon and have just started playing Ghost Recon- Advanced Warfighter.
Is there anyway to run the game at 640x480? Same goes for far Cry. I'm Stuck at 800x600 in both games and though I get playable frame rates, a little more performance would be appreciated.

My PC config is PIV 3GHz, 512 mb DDRII 400MHz Ram and 128mb Radeon X300SE running Windows XP SP2.

Both games and Windows are original.

Any suggestions?

The options are not available in the menu/setup even in Far Cry. I have seen digit reviews where Far Cry @ 640x480 was used to benchmark something or other.

the option is supposed to be in the game menu, check there or try powerstrip

try editing the configuration files manually & change the resolution to 640x480

The cpnfig file for far Cry does not contain any mention of resolution. Also Ubisoft's website says that Far Cry officially requires a min of 800x600. But I have seen digit reviews where Far Cry was used as a benchmark @640x480, that's the main reason why I am asking
