I Am Staring This Thread Just For The Reviews Of The Newest Games Of 2006-2007. For The Start Kick Ill Post The Reviews Of Three Games

1. Splinter Cell Double Agent

2. Commandos Strike Force

3. Formula 1 2006.

LET ME FIRST MENTION THE REQUIRMENTS OF THE GAME.

P4 2.4 GHZ
512 RAM
10.6 GB HARD DISK
128 MB GRAPHICS MEMORY WITH 3.0 PIXEL SHADER
Xp SP2 AND DX9

THIS CONFIG WOULG RUN THE GAME BUT I WOULD ALSO MENTION THAT THATS ONLY THE MINIMUM.

I HAVE INTEL 3.6 D 4 MB L2
1 GB OF RAM DDR3
7300LE WITH 512 TURBO MEMORY DDR2

YET THE GAME WAS RUNNING PATHETICALLY (12 -13 FPS) EVEN AT AA AND ANSTOPIC OFF AT 800 * 600 RESOLUTIONS.

ALSO THE LOADING INITIAL TIME WAS TOO HIGH ABOUT (2 MINNUTE WHICH IS TOO MUCH.

THE GAME IS DEVLOPED VERY UNSTABLLY.THE GAME EVEN CRASHES WHILE LOADING.

NOW THE GAME
BAD POINTS
1. THE GAME IS TOTALLY STEALTH BASED (NOT FOR WAR GAMERS)

2. CAMERA CONTROLS ARE PATHETETIC (SAY LIKE DEATH TO RIGHTS)

3. GAME PLAY IS A BIT COMPLICATED WITH TOO MANY DEVICES AND GADGETS.

4. MISSIONS ARE NOT POINT ORIENTED ( LIKE, IN THE FIRST MISSION YOU HAVE TO INVESTIGATE A WHOLE LARGE AREA RAHTER THAN OBJECT OR POINT BASED MISSIONS, WHICH MEANS SOMETIMES YOU FEEL LOST OF YOUR PATH AND WHAT TO DO NEXT)

GOOD POINTS
1. THE GAME HAS FANTASTIC GRAPHICS AND REALISM.

2.THE VIDEOS ARE HIGH DEFINTION.


VERDICT
WITH PRICED AT RS 1290/- THE GAME IS A DISSAPOINTING IN SENSE THAT A LOT HAS BEEN DONE WITH THE GRAPICS AND TECHNOLOGY IN THE GAME AND THE GAMELAY WAS LOST TOTALLY. TRY IT If u LIKE STEATH GAMES , HAVE A MACHINE HIGHER THAT I HAVE MENTIONED AND LIKE GOOD GRAPHICS. FOR FAST, WAR LOVING GAMERS AND LOW END MACHINES STAY AWAY.

THERE IS NOTHING TO MENTION ABOUT THE GAME REQUIRMENTS AS IT DOESNTS DEMAND MORE THAN A P4 1.8 AND 32 MB OF MEMORY.


GOOD POINTS
1. THE GAME IS MUCH MORE INPROVED THANS ITS PREVIUOS VERSION WITH REGARDS TO CONTROLS WITH ALL SUPPORTING OPTIONS OFF i.e AT THE TOUGHEST MODE.

2. THE COMENTARY HAS IMPROVED.

3.THE TEAM MEMEMBERS HAVE VERY OBVIOUSLY UPDATES.

4. WHOLE NEW UNLOCKABLES IN THE SCHOOL MODE.

5. TRACK REALITY HAS BEEN REALLY UP TO THE MARK

6. THE CAR CONFIGURATION MENU ALLOWS TO EXPERIMENT WITH THE CAR SETUP.

BAD POINTS

1. THE COMMENTARY AND THE GRAPHICS ARE WAY BEHIND FORM ITS PS2 COUNTERPART.

2. THE MAIN MENU AND THE LOADING TIMES ARE QIUTE FRUSTATING.

3. THE GAME LOOKS UNDEVLOPED IN SOME TARCKS LIKE THE IMOLA AND BAHRAIN.

VERDICT
THE GAME IS WAY BEHIND ITS PS2 VERSION IN ALL THE DEPARTMENTS. HOWEVER SINCE THE LAST F1 RELEASE WAS IN 2000
THE GAME IS WORTHY IF U ARE A VID F1 FAN LIKE ME.

GOOD POINTS

1. SUPERB GRAPHICS - THE GRAPHICS ARE JUST FANTACTIC. ESPECIALLY THE TERRAIN. THE TREES, MOUNTAINS , WATER RIPPLES ARE ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. VECHICLES ARE ALSO WELL MADE.

2.THE MISSIONS ARE ASTOUNDING. THERE ARE VARIED MISSIONS WHERE ALL YOUR GAMING SKILL AND HUNGER WILL BE WELL FED.
MISSIONS INCLUDE KILLING SOMEONE, DESTROYING CARS TRUCKS OR EVEN TRAINS VIDE HELICOPS.

3. CARS AND AIR STIMULATION ARE SUPERB. YOU CAN EVEN HIJACK HELICOPTERS THRORG ROPE GUN.

4.STUNTS ARE WELL MADE AND ADD A NEW DIMENSION TO THE GAME.

5.THE GAME IS STABLE AND SAVE MODES ARE SATISFYING.

BAD POINTS.
1. PRICED HIGH

2. SOMETMES TWO MISSION POINTS ARE SO FAR AWAY FROM EACH OTHER THAT IT FEELS TERRIBLE TO REACH THE PLACE WHEN HELI ESCORT IS NOT VAILABLE.

3. THE CHARACTER GRAPHIC IS BEHING THE GAME IN QUALITY.

VERDICT.
MUST PLAY FOR EVERY GAMER.

that rig is not going to run the game even on minimum at 640x480! You need something several times as fast for that, especially the card.

8.0/10 rating at gamespot
9.0/10 rating at IGN

you are telling me that the game is horrible. are u out of ur mind.
it is a very very good game. and there is no point is comparing it with any other genre(like war) as it is and has always been a stealth series. Granted that it is unstable and hardware req is high but the actual game is smashing.

i guess the F1 2006 you reviewed was a F1 2006 MOD & not the Official game, as SONY has bought the License for F1 till 2008 (i think), so no F1 games for PC till then.

& i think its a Spanish MOD.

oh yes , by the way include more on playability mate , dont compare games as there will be lots of person who will like one gene (like ,i like stealth based and RPGs over fast paced FPS) . if you want to compare then compare to previous version of THAT game itself . else be prepared to get blasted by others .

imagine me doing a review and comparing diablo with max payne and saying one game (pick one you like )sucks . i am asking for trouble as both are targeted for diff peoples and both are good where they stand . so compare stealth based to another stealth based but not FPS action ones and other classes . . waiting to see other reviews from you mate . please dont take my words as flame bolts . i just pointed out a mistake that you made .

i did realized my mistake for sayin that it bad because it is a stealth game.
yet i would say the camera contorls are not user friendly.

and friends we should not go on ratings of mags. we here give our opinion.

also not matter how good the game is unstability just kills a gme.

dude its sad that there hasen't been a "F1 Game" since EA's "F1 Challenge '99-'02"., but some mods like this "F1 2006" are good with all the latest tracks, Rules (like one lap qualification, one set tyre change...), overall its a really good Full Mod (the mod itself is a full game, no need for orig. game).

the only downside of this game is that its a little bit Arcady.

btw there are other F1 Games which were released along side EA's F1 titles, like Grand Prix 4 (2001 season)


if you want to venture into today's Simulation Racing Games, then begin with Colin McRae 05 (rally game), then go for Richard Burns Rally (rally games ka baap), & if you like to stick to race Tracks, then try GTR2, RACE: WTCC (gtr2's bro.).

i already said - its a brilliant mod

"F1 2006" are good with all the latest tracks, Rules (like one lap qualification, one set tyre change...), overall its a really good Full Mod (the mod itself is a full game, no need for orig. game).

Everyone wanting to cash in on the FpS market and release it on consoles

yeah strike force is one horrible game that bought shame to the series
