Dark Messiah problem

[Third Eye]

I had downloaded a demo of dark messiah of might and magic and wasted one & half hour for downloading it but when i tried to play it shows the annoying error...

Error-> See the below image....




System Config-> XFX 6600GT 256 MB (with latest drivers installed i.e 93.81 WHQL)
Intel Pentium 4 630 3.0GHz
1 GB DDR 2 RAM @ 533MHz
Intel 915GEV Motherboard

I have latest direct x installed....

try to disable visual themes by right clicking the game shortcut or .exe file and under "Compatibility" check the "Disable Visual themes" and it should run.
Please rep me if this works

i found this in a forum.

However, if it's running through Steam, right click the game, select Properties, then click the "Local Files" tab and select the option "Verify Integrity of Game Cache"

That will make sure you have all the files needed from your download. Sometimes Steam will not add a file accidently or something like that and it can cause problems in the game.
