Look how's NFS carbon runnin on my old rig

configration of my old rig is
AMD 2400+
512 MB RAM
NVidia 5200fx 128bit version (128 Mb ram)
and samsung 7200rpm 80gb *2
two dvd writers sony

and game runs without any hiccups.
i was not even expecting of running the game and it ran smoothly at 1024*768

ya aa is disabled.
what else would you expect from this aging rig. but this proves that u don't need cutting edge hardware to play new games. even quake 4,doom 3 ran fine.
i just want to pass my time, this is more than enough for me( as i most of time i'm doin programming and messin with soldering iron).
i'll be getting xbox 360 next year, so spending 15K+ on a decent dx10 card is not what i think is advisable as most games that are for pc are also available for consoles and they are better value for money too and their life is also longer.

i've been through this circle of upgrading every year. now i don't think that i need dual core to do programming or for using internet. so why upgrade ???.

I have nvidia fx5200 1GB ram and i dont play at 1024*768
it gets stuck... slow like hiccups... i can play smoothly at low resolution and medium graphics... need to upgrade... my comp is kachda...... 80 GB HDD kachdaest card NVidia fx 5200 256 mb... 1GB Ram... never heard who the manufacturer of the ram is... AND what makes it more MY Father is not at all good at COMPUTER,,,
