Default POP 2T help plz

Hi I borrowed this game DVD from my frnd . It contains POP_2T.MDS file (4.17 GB) , an Alcohol 120 file . prb is that I can't copy it in my HDD . While my C drive has
11.7 GB free space. It says u dont have enough free disk space to copy . i have win XP home..Also sometimes my Mat****a DVd drive of ACER LAPTOP cant recognize DVDs . can anybody suggest some workaround ?
