5.1 for PS2

I want to buy a 5.1 speaker system for my ps2. But i don't know how will i connect it to my ps2. There doesn't seem to be any 5.1 output on the console, like the ones which are seen on regular dvd players. Only the regular stereo output is there. Also please suggest a good set within 5k that will deliver good sound quality.

There is an optical (digital) audio output for connecting multi-channel digital audio system. U can use this to connect 5.1 speaker system. Or else get an optical to 5.1 RCA audio converter.
But I think that converting digital audio to analog (by using the converter) will decrease the sound quality.
