I recently downloaded the Need for speed underground 2 demo, and upon
installation, it tells me that i require 9.0c, and that i only have b. So i take myself along to microsoft.com\windows\directx and downloaded the english version.
Something troubled me about this download though, as if the file was
wrong, as it was only around 800kb which is weird for a Dx update i
thought. Also it took a split second from me pressing the "accept
licence agreement" until the installation complete screen showed up,
without showing the file transfer progress bar etc.
I checked the DX status, and aparently im still running 9.0b!!? Also
its alerting me to the fact that the file "qasf.dll" is old, and
could be causing problems.
Im lost, confused, and very angry so i would appreciate any help at all to try and get 9.0c to function like it should. Heres my specs:-
