NFS UG2 Crashes as it starts

Hi,

I've got a new Compaq laptop with AMD Mobile Sempron 3000+ Processor, 768 MB of RAM, 40 GB HDD and ATI Radeon Xpress (PCIe) 200M 128MB Graphics card. The problem is that when I installed NFS UG2, it crashes as soon as it starts. On clicking the icon, a black screen comes and it returns to the desktop. There is no error message or anything.

I've also updated my display drivers from ATI Website. I've installed ATI Catalyst drivers version 8.241.0.0. Still the game is not working.

Can anybody figure out what is the problem???

Solved it myself. The solution was as simple as reinstalling the game. That's what you have to do in windows most of the time...either restart or reinstall...

After installing a new version of graphic or sound drivers, a game usually requires a reinstall to operate smoothly...
