stuck in resident evil 4 and advanced warfighter

after finding the church in resident evil 4 there is a dial behind the church which turns clockwise in 3 or 4 increments.then it is asked whether i will turn it in 3 or 4 increments.i am clueless in finding right combination;please help.in advanced warfighter after reaching first checkpoint and finding a teammate no new objectives are displayed;message playing in the top right hand corner in a box is stuck at a point is repeating the same words again and again.could this be the problem in no new objectives being displayed after reaching checkpoint.please help

For Resident Evil 4,You'll have to memorise those Insignia's which are encrypted on the Grave's behind the Church(when you are about to enter the church).Take a note of those symbols imprinted on them and turn those stones in to activate the Insignia's you have seen in the Graveyard.You'll have to count the effect of each clockwise movement and eliminate those insignia's which are of no use.
