Default need a little help

I wanted to know whether a RAM of 512 MB with 533 MHz is better or 266 MHz to add. i'm having (128+256)MB RAM both of 266MHz... I'm planning to add the 512 to the 256.. my mobo is 845 GVSR. It supports upto 533 MHz..
What should I do??? I'm upgrading it to play HL2

U can add 512 but u have to remove 128 and 256 MB RAM. it will cause your comp to unstable.

I played half-life 2 with pentium 3 1ghz and 512 mb ddr. I played with medium setting and the game had no problem. The more the ram the better.
