Default Error with aclayers.dll

Dear All,

Dont know it this is the correct forumn to post this, but as I got this error while trying to play a game posting it here made more sense.

I run Win XP-SP2, P-4:3Ghz, and Geforce FX-5300(128 Mb), The system memory is 512 Mb, I installed Maxpayne 1 recently, while playing it a error always pops up.

The error is 'Maxpayne has encountered a problem....needs to close...sorry for inconvenience, on clicking more info ,...Details are
AppName:maxpayne.exe Appver:1.0.0.0 Mod name:aclayers.dll
Modver:5.1.2600.2180 Offset:0001215c

I have original windows and original CD of the game--paid good money for the game...all the drivers are updated with all windows patches updated(I think)...need help urgently..
