Default what graphic card should i opt for

help me out people,

im about to get a new pc
i have opted for p4 3.2, a 945g chipset, 1 gb ddr2, 80 gb sata harddisk.
but im really confused on wat graphics should i get.
i had xfx 6600 gt on my mind but then i read about 6800 gs.

im just a casual gamer and want good graphics (certainly wont be using AF and AA much).

i just wanna know from all the gamers out there if 6600 gt will be gud enough for games like doom 3 and pop warrior within.
i heard 6800 gs is a pretty gud card but if only i can find a deal around 15000.

tell me if i should go for 6600 gt or 6800 gs.
i live in delhi. pls tell me all the other options (from ati too).

Not true, if you are a casual gamer, then you can go for 6600GT, you can play all the latest games with no worries. You are secured to play for the next 2 years!

Go for Nvidia 6600 GT.

The cost is 9k for the PCI-E version from XFX.

@deathvirus:The 6800GS is a bit costly at this point of time.If I am informed correctly by Blade_runner,the XFX model costs is around 18k and the falsely advertised Leadtek model(14k)is out of stock.Apart from that its an excellent choice.

i just got of the phone with rashi peripherals centre in gurgaon, delhi.

xfx 6600 gt 128mb costs Rs. 9850 and 6600 gt 256mb costs Rs. 12250.
i read in this months digit that agent 001 got a xfx 6600 gt 128mb for Rs.7500 on lamington road.

Can someone verify that coz if thats true then the rashi outlet here is asking for way too much.
I asked him about 6800gs and he said never heard of it.

My config is all stuck up on this card thing.
Its killing me...........aarggggghhhhhh.

xfx geforce 6600gt 128 for 9850. Not possible.

In my city it is available for 8500. In Delhi it is for 9200. And in Mumbai it is available for 7500 at some shops and at some it is 8000. It can't be 9850.

Someone must be hell bent on taking you for a ride. I have personally talked with Rashi peripherals Kolkata and they are qouting a price of Rs.13500 plus 4% VAT for XFX 6800GS. It cannot be 18k elsewhere. .. Please check.

i checked in with rashi peripherals today

they have quoted me 12000 for 6600gt 256mb and 16500 for 6800gs xxx edition.

it looks like they r playing foul with me if 6800gs is for 13500 in kolkata

tell me if the prices are right so i will get them to see for themselves online
