can't install WWE RAW

when i am installing WWE RAW 2(old edition),after it gets installed to 78% it stops and shows the error DATA ERROR(CYCLIC REDUNDANCY CHECK).Please help to sort out my problem.

simply copy all the files in one single folder in ur hard disk and then install raw from that folder u will not get this error

other method : format ur pc then intall

i had 2 cds one i think is for installation u mean to say that copying all the files of the cd1 to one folder .but it has 2 ZIP files which i tried to unzip but is shows something wrong with microsoft cab format and signature bytes.plz reply

Perhaps the Data area of the Disc have developed scratches which is causing the DVD/CD Drive to make it unreadable.Try installing the game at a friends place.If it installs fine then your Optical Drive is at fault.If not then possibly the Disc is corrupt.

the cab files in most of the cd cant be unzipped , it will show the same message as u have written this doesnt means that files r damaged

simply copy the cab files frm both the cd in one folder and then install u will not ge error

I tried to copy the cab files to one folder in my harddisk.but it also shows me the same error.Also I had tried to install it my inserting it in my both optical drive,so both can not be faulty.i am inserting a sreen shot please see it and help me if any one can.

Yup the disc is screwed alright.Try cleaning around the data area delicately and then wiping it with a smooth cloth.Thats the most you could do to recover it.Also you could try and attempt to make a Virtual Image of the game Via Alcohol 120% and then try to mount the Disc.

btw, wen did wwe raw 2 launch on pc....till now its just for xbox...latest for pc in wwe is wwe raw....i guess ...correct me if im wrong..

Of Course man.He might have got confused with the name.Btw even WWE Raw is quite an old title for the PC.

Your disc is gone . Throw it away look for another good disc.

yep its quite old now....waiting for any and if any new release from wwe for pc....if anyone gets any idea plz do lemme know......currently all thq is doing is working for ps2 n xbox....

@shyamno: try running windows file extractor (win98) in system tools...if there a little ray of hope from ur cd....if there a visible damage then sry dude its no more...

the method u(speedyguy) told is for win98 or for winXP.If it is for winXp then please kindly elaborate the method i am new to computers.

well unfortunately its for win98 which i guess ur not with....ok so do one thing....download "alpha zip"...it extracts cab files....this mite help out..if not try "advanced cab repair" (u'll find in www.repairfile.com)...google it or try searching in www.download.com
