Default please help directx


i have p4 ,256 ram,xp sp2

geforce 2 mx 100/200 64mb card

whwnever i tried to install directx 9.0c ,my system show only 9.0b
i have reinstall,install from various cd ,restart the computer
but my system shows only 9.0b directx

i have sims 2 which support my graphic card gave error cannot find directx 9.0c
i find the same problem with other new games too
please help whats the problem

This is a known issue when u try upgrading from 9.0b to 9.0c. Get a DirectX unistaller (like DirectX Eradicator, DirectX Happy Uninstall, ...) uninstall 9.0b and then try reinstalling DirectX9.0c. It worked out for me

Yes, as said above, this is a known issue and some members had this problem too.

Just uninstall DirectX & then reinstall the 9.0c version.

To uninstall DirectX safely, use this reliable tool:
DirectX happy uninstall

Here was a similar problem which was easily solved by this tool:

check out ur video and sound drivers.
check whether u can execute dxdiag.exe form "startmenu->run"
if u can't ,then update drivers accordingly.
