rather i would like to know that how to force the game to even run without a good 3d card...

what i mean is.. i have a AMD athlon 2600+ with 512MB DDR400... but i am running it on a VIA chipset graphics... now many games simply refuses to load bqz the graphics card name...

i dont need to run that game if high graphics.. sinply the lowest of settings would b enough for me... but is there any way to even start that game??

if the game requires some hardware features which ur card/on board graphics doesnt support then you can do nothing about it. most newer games require hardware TnL which the via chipset doesn't support (does km800 integrated support it?). there is nothing you can do (there was a software for DX based games which could emulate certain things into fooling the game that the hardware actually supports it. but it doesn't work wid most of the games. the game just crashes!)

i think the whole thread is senseless....i mean widout a 3d card none of 2de's games will run and for older games you dun need even 512mb of ram!!!! btw, every single comp has a 3d card be it basic or at least an intermediate one. tho the suggestion is a good one to stuff in more ram, i think the context is wrong. no offence intended dude! just my opinion.
