A VERY WEIRED GAMING PROBLEM

Hi guys! I am having a rather strange problem with my machine.
I have a three yearold machine (Most of the parts are upgraded later)
Config :
AMD Athlon xp 2000+ 266 FSB
512 MB DDR 333
MSI KM3M V Mobo
Made by ATi Radeon 9250 pro 256 mb graphics card(8x AGP,128 bit) (catalyst 5.8.core 240 mhz,memory 200 mhz overclocked to 301 mhz core nd 221.2 mhz memory....very stable with this...installed GPU Fan nd RAM sinks )
All latest drivers,DX 9.0c,
The problem is this rig is able to run most of the games at 800*600 full details with 4x AA+4X AF or 1024*768 medium-high details (games such as NFS UG 2,DOOM3,Half Life2 ,Prince of Persia SOT,Far cry run very smoothly) but cant run a very modest game like Project IGI 2 at more than 640*480 low details.With this game there is a very long load time nd very shaky game play

Another friends comp (P4 3Ghz ht,512 ddr 400,915 onboard graphics) can play that game @ 1024*768 with no problem (his comp cant run NFS 2 UG at more than 640*480 low details)

So guys I am unable to figure out the problem
Is there any optimization issue of Project IGI 2 with radeon cards

The graphics card is working very nicely coz I have checked the 3d mark score,Aquamark score nd some other benchmarking utilities...noted frame rates in some games nd compared them to digit scores nd they proved that my graphics card is giving me frame rates equivalent to Fx 5600 non ultra)

Any Idea?

Its a driver issue, You can experiment with an older ATI driver and see if that resolves it.

Tried calyst 5.1 from MAY DIGIT. No benifit in IGI but frame rates dropped in other games by avg 5 fps

u can also google for a igi2 patch to solve this problem , sometimetimes there is problem with certain cards on a game , like the game riddick doesn't run on the nv6x00 series cards, they have got patch for it which solves the prob , so search for a patch, it will solve the prob.
