counter strike issue

i have win7 64 bit but counter strike is not running on it!!
what should be done coz it does run on 32 bit system...

@sid_gupta: I have a win 7 system and counterstrike is running fine. Can you elaborate on the problem you are facing("not working" does not give any one a clue on what your problem actually is) and also your system config?

@ OP - what CS version do you have ?

If you are using IDM , do the following :

IDM - Downloads - Options - General - Uncheck "Run module for IE"

^^ Does IDM has anything do with CS - have not heard of any such issue ever .

Windows 7 64 Bit runs Counter Strike perfectly fine. I have installed it on my system and works perfectly. What error message do you get when you open the game?

we first need to know what CS version op has - is it 1.6 or source ? and whether op has installed any kind of mod or not.

CS (1.6 in my case) works fine in my lappi in win 7 64 bit. Can you describe your problem exactly ? Plus are you using the cracked version or legal steam one, although i think both should work fine.
