Need Expert Advice..

Recently i bought a GTA IV for PC.

I installed it, got it registered, created profile in Rockstar & linked the same to my profile in GFW [Games for Windows].

Now whenever i run the game, i have to login inside GFW, GFW tries to download some updates & get struck..If i hit escape from KB, then it returns to Game window, otherwise I have to close the program.

I have SF IV & i can able to login & play it off online, but not GTA IV.

I can't able to play the game without saving it for time being, i'm not clear, whats wrong with it.

Below things are already taken care from my side.

1. My PC Config is fine & currently having almost all updated drivers & patches from Mobo - gpu - dx11.

2. Dedicated Internet Connection ~ 1MPBS....

Now help me find the culprit out....

Update GFW manually outside the game and try to launch it.

Otherwise, disable the internet connection, and play using offline profile.

if there is an option for auto updates, then uncheck it

I have the same shitty GFW update problem, updated offline too but still asks for update ingame.

Never faced any issues like this. @OP try offline play then

Registry Cleaner does the job.....

BTW how to create a offline account in GFW live....

^^ you can call it a local profile too and it's very simple to create one - the bottom line is just scroll through the bottom of the page and there you'll get a link for creating a offline ( local ) profile
