problem running just cause 2..

i use windows7 and i had been playing just cause 2 but now whenever i try to run the game this error occurs :-
Fatal DirectX error!
Code: 15
Result:0x80070057: E_INVALIDARG

The game will now exit. Try running the game with /failsafe if the problem
persists.

hp pavillion dm4 1024tx
intel i5 m430@2.27ghz
3gb ram

Install the latest directx version

Install the latest update for the game

Anyway...
I worked it out (and strange i had this problem once b4) as followed:
I deleted the HDD content of the game via Steam (right click on it and delete game)
and afterwards installed it without the disc, just only via steam.
Restart afterwards... and see.. now it runs...
Dont ask me why... i really got no idea... it was the same for me with Metro 2033.
Both games installed a driver after installing from CD and never really worked then.
After installing from steam without a cd they work fine.
Anyhow... maybe you wanna try this way...

Dug that up from Eidos forum. Not sure if this will work, but its worth a try.
