Default Gaming Rig for 20000 bucks

I plan to change my platform to PCI-E
This is the conf. I've designed
AMD Athlon 64 32+
nForce4 motherboard

I plan to buy a 6600gt gfx card
How much will it cost?
I want to keep the whole thing under Rs.20,000

Go to the hardware review thread and scroll around to get a hold on prices. U can even move this post over there to get more responses.

Instead of a 3200+, u can go for 2800+(s754) with GF6600 or lesser with a non-pcie mobo for <20K.

Hmmmmm only possible if u hv some1 livin in the US... from newegg
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130220 6600 Gt for $159.. about Rs. 7200
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103537 Athlon 64 3000+ socket 939 for $146.. about 6570
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813189001 BFG nforce4 mobo for $108.... about 4700

Over here the gfx card + processor would cost u 20000, so not possible then. U could try nforce3 mobo + socket 754 processor + agp 6600 as siriusb said... but that would b still be a tight squeeze for 20K. Computer parts still sooo expensive

Here's a built-in grafx config u can try:

A64 (s754) 2800+ @5100
Mobo Asus K8S @3K (confirm with dealer for onboard video)
Ram 256MB DDR400 (hynix) @1200
SATA 40GB seagate @2300
LG/gigabyte combo drive @2K
Samsung 17" non-flat @5400
Logitech optical mouse+MMKbd @800
Cabinet w/SMPS @1K

Total comes around 20,850.
This is the cheapest good 64bit pc I can come up with. With any luck,
the prices in ur locality are cheaper than in here.

Do check out the reviews that I used as reference for the components
listed above:

CPU=> http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets...spx?i=2038&p=3
Mobo=> http://anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/sho...px?i=1922&p=10

Also, check out if the low cost pc from the gov.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/4735927.stm

Perhaps u can buy three of them, sell off 2monitors+2mouse+2kbd and
build a cluster.
