resolution queries

hi guys
my monitor supports highest resolution of 1366X768
suppose i got best graphic card and set the resolution of the game
full hd...will the game show me full hd resolution or
it will only work till 1366X768

no. you cannot play game above 1366x768. The moment you push the resolution higher, you monitor will go blank and show a dialogue box "Out of Sync".

whats the scene with HD ready monitors?
i think they are actully of 1366*768 resolution
but can they be extend upto 1600 resolution if the graphic card supports?

HD ready Tvs are the ones which are capable of playing HD content and also may not be able to play with the resolution of the HD content(they may lower down the resolution) whereas HD tvs are the ones who have an inbuilt decoder to process and display HD content.
