Default LAN on INTERNET


Hi guys. I want to play CS with my friend. But our home is almost a km far. So can we online. As we both have broadband at home. Please tell me the detailed procedure. And dont tell me about router.

simple man...
Just launch HLDS.exe and set it Dedicated as internet and then change map and what ever you want and then start the server..
Now in the main screen set Player Password as you wish and then give the ip as it shows in the console, give with the port to...
THen tell your friend to add your ip in favorites and then tell him to add the pass for it and then Join and play..
The server will be PRIVATE...
If you dont want password means, just launc hlds.exe and start the server and then give the IP to your friend and tell him to press ~ and type connect 712.125.***.***:20175 what ever and then press enter..
Thats it...

Hamachi2 is good (but has some conditions attached if used freely)...I have tried Wippien which is free and has more features than LogmeIn/Hamachi...
