COD 4 MW crashing at start up

Hello Guys

I installed COD 4 MW but I am not ably to play it as soon I start it it crashes..

I go-ogled about it some said stereo mix must be enable but I can not find any thing like that in recorder's Tab even after checking "show Disabled Devices"

So How Can I start Playing this

My specs :-

C2D 4300 (1.8 ghz)
2 Gb DDr2
Intel Org. D946gzis
Gts 250 512 Mb

playing in WIndows 7 ..
and Guys I did not installed Punkbuster...is that a Problem
I installed on other partition then my windows partition (primary)

one more query

My graphic card says 1.2 Gb ram but it has 512 mb ...It means it is sharing from memory I don't want that so How can I stop this .. I can't find any option in nvidia control panel..

patch it to 1.7(download 1.6 then 1.7 and you're done.no need to start from first patch)
Problem is because of motherboard audio controller.If you can buy a cheap audio card then you can play it without patching it.

P.s Try updating your sound card driver and video card driver.

Yes you need the 1.6 and 1.7 updates to play MW MP. And you also need Punkbuster. its a must.I also had the problem. I did that stereo mixing thing and it was all solved.

Problem still not solved ...Installed both patches but it is same

how can I install punkbuster now.. and I am not even able to play Single player and punkbuster is for multiplayer (right )

and why that stereo mixing is not available to me.
