Exclamation Command & Conquer 4 refuses to start

I installed Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight. The game installed normally, but I am not able to run it.

It displays an error which asks me to check -
1.the direct X version on my pc = I have DX9 installed which is the recommended version
2.if my GPU meets requirements = I have ZOTAC GTX 260 896 MB which is more than required
3.if hardware acceleration is not disabled = I checked thru 'dxdiag' and 'nvidia control manager' that hardware acceleration is not disabled on my pc

I am using Win XP SP3 with a resolution of 1024 x 768.
I do not have internet connectivity on my pc.

My config is as follows -
2 x 1GB @ 800 MHz Kingston RAM
Cooler Master 460W PSU
Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L
C2D E7400 2.8 Ghz
ZOTAC GTX 260

Can any one please help me to solve this problem?
