Hey guys.,
just about at the end of this month im about to buy a gaming console.
now im confused between xbox 360 and nintendo wii..
thre are some aspects i wud like you ppl to throw light on so that my vision about the decision becomes absolutely clear and i dnt end up feeling as if i ve commited a mistake.

Memory:
1.xbox 360/wii comes bundled with how much memory?
2.how much space does an average xbox/wii save game take? (so tht i can judge how much memory is enough).

Game titles:
1. which of the one has more game titles on avail.
i guess nintendo wii has a specific genre of games available..correct me if im wrong.

Console:
1.What all does both have included in one package?

Price:
1.Approximate price(Modded) of both in delhi (grey market or company)?
2.What is the approximate prices of game titles of both the consoles.?

Verdict:
1.Which one should i buy considering all the aspects or experiences.??

There shouldn't be any confusion here. xbox 360 is far superior to Wii.

Memory:

--> xbox360 has lot lot lot more titles than that on Wii. Wii is just for fun and xbox360 is for serious gaming.

--> That depends on what package you buy. Login to respective websites and check for content in package that suites your budget.

Price:
1.Approximate price(Modded) of both in delhi (grey market or company)?
2.What is the approximate prices of game titles of both the consoles.?

--> It's pretty hard to find Wii console titles in India. On the other hand you can find xbox 360 titles everywhere. And they are generally priced at 1499 or 1999

1.Which one should i buy considering all the aspects or experiences.??

Wii if you want family or friends fun , and amusing games .

Xbox if you are hardcore gamer and ....

I don't have much idea on the Wii, so I'll list whatever queries you have for the Xbox 360 upto my best knowledge.

It depends on what version of XBox 360 you're buying. If you're going for the Arcade version, then you'll have a 256MB flash memory card bundled. For the Core version, you won't have any HDD or free flash memory available, so you'll need to invest in either one. The Pro version has the standard 20GB/60GB HDD. An average save should be around 75-100KB. This is just a rough estimate though & I could be wrong. But better invest in a HDD if you want to enjoy DivX movies, game demos & Game installs.

As for Wii, I'm pretty sure it has a 512 MB built-in flash memory (expandable upto 32GB via SD cards)

In India, you'll obviously have more Xbox 360 titles. I'm talking about legit titles. Nintendo Wii was officially launched pretty recently, so you'll have very sparse titles.

The above was a modded console retailing for 16k.

No idea in Delhi. In Mumbai, the modded Wii costs 16k & Xbox 360 Arcade costs Rs.16,999 officially. Modding would be additional 1.5k-2k. The DVD's for 360 can cost anywhere from Rs.999-Rs.3,000.

It depends on what kind of gaming you're into. If you want a laid back & fun experience with your friends & family, go for a Wii. It won't have high-end visuals, but you'll enjoy it.

If you are into high-def gaming, then 360/PS3 should be your choice. My personal pick would be a PS3 at this point or Xbox 360 in your case.
