guys....recently i bought an xbox 360 for about 13.5k even though its mrp is 19.9k.
later,i found out that the import date was august 2006.So do u think i got cheated????
is my console vulnerable to the RRODs???i play only for about an hour or two daily.
also is it a bad choice to get it modded???

You didn't get cheated. I assume this is the old core batch which is sold to you for extreme discount. They plan to sell these consoles off in the advent of the new Arcade consoles which are being launched. The manufacturing date of your console is very old. It's highly prone to an RRoD. Modding it would mean digging your console's grave. Stick with it's official 3 year warranty & you should be fine.

so is there no one other than ms that can repair the RRODs???

There are local dealer who can service the console but that comes at a price. Usually it's around 2k, which again, isn't guaranteed to last long enough. MS would give you a brand new console altogether.
